Our Programs

Karate

At Saugus Karate, our goal is to build confidence in our students and to empower them to act responsibly and conduct themselves in a calm and assured manner. We create individualized training plans customized for each student to help them develop to their full potential.

Our karate classes are grouped by age, as a useful, but flexible entry point for all new students.

Pee Wee

The Saugus Karate/Kung Fu children’s training program is for ages  4 ½ – 11. Children learn techniques at their own pace and belt requirements offer a clear path forward at each step in the process. While fighting techniques are part of martial arts, the emphasis is not on teaching children how to fight, but rather teaching them how to respond appropriately when confronted with negative influences such as bullying and peer pressure. Students leave classes with practical confidence-boosting skills.

Our all levels Pee Wee group classes meet Monday from 3:45-4:45PM and Saturday from 10-11AM.  Our Advanced class (purple belt and up) meets on Wednesday from 4-5PM and our Beginner  (white through orange belt) class meets on Thursday from 4-5PM. Private lessons are available as well.

Teen

Saugus Karate Kung Fu offers classes for teenagers, ages 12-16.  Our teens learn responsibility, self-respect, self-confidence and discipline. As parents, we know that young teenage kids are full of energy, but also full of daily tasks and responsibilities, so we have designed a program that fits your schedule, and more importantly, theirs. Our Teen program allows you a combination of Private lessons, that fit around your schedule, and Group lessons.

Our teen group classes meet on Tuesdays at 3:30-4:30PM and  on Saturdays from 11AM-12PM, private lessons are available as well.

Adult

You are never too old to start Martial Arts. In fact, we find that starting Martial Arts long after childhood does not diminish at all, your chances to benefit from them just the same. If anything, you will benefit more from our training programs than your child. You will become more flexible, stronger, more accurate and aware of your surroundings, all while finding peace within you. Our adults classes are for men and women, ages 17 and up.

Our adult group classes meet Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30PM and private lessons are available as well.

Cardio Kickboxing

Get ready to reduce stress and burn calories with one of the best cardio exercises available. Kickboxing training is a form of high intensity interval training (HIIT) led by qualified and engaged instructors and can be modified for all fitness levels. We utilize a combination of both plyometric and callisthenic exercises to create the most exciting workout. These exercises encourage your muscles to exert maximum force for short intervals of time. The moves you’ll learn are rhythmic and packed into each workout.
